  • Mine's a bit all over the place and did some sorting out last week!
When we first started looking at venues I put all the info in a folder, but I've thrown it all out now!
I write lists in several note books, which are also used for other lists! on my home pc, my work pc and my ipod! Also have a spreadsheet which pulls it all together!
I have started a photo album/scrap book and started sticking things in like info/photos of the venue, photographers leaflet, pictures of bridesmaid dresses etc as a keepsake.

I saw the me-to-you one yesterday and nearly bought it, it was so lovely! But the £10 price tag put me off! Currently making do with a notepad free from work  I've got a long time to plan though- at the moment I am still deciding between running away and having a family 'do'. Either way I know we are having a party for our mates.
  • It never occured to me to keep any of the planning stuff, but if someone was creative, it may be nice to look back on, I just don't think I'd look back on it enough!

I started out with a A5 pad and one of those files that has a tie over the top and has compartments in it. That just got a bit messy, so now I'm using an old 'Bagpuss' lever-arch file what I had some of my University stuff in, with plenty of dividers. I can easily sort through and throw any old or irrelevant stuff away.

I wish I was as organised to keep everything on an Excel spreadsheet, but I'm just not!
  • I just bought a pretty A4 size binder form wilkinsons. It cost about 95p and has butterflys on! Whilst there I also picked up some dividers (30p) and plastic wallets (50p). I have lots of nice pastel coloured paper already so I am filling the file with this and I will have sections for each aspect of planning. Some pages will just be my jotting others pics I have found for inspiration etc. I hope to use it as a keepsake afterwards.

I would have liked to buy a nice pretty wedding planner, and £10 seems quite reasonable, however I just can't afford to spend that amount at the moment.
  • well i have a cheapy notebook that I bought from sainsburys in the sale, this is full of scribbles, and doodles from when i have been on the phone to someone with it sat in front of me lol

my best friend (and moh) bought me the me to you wedding planner, which is so cute....but i dont want to ruin it with scribbles lol
so I am transfering stuff to it as its done, this way its all in a nice place but doesnt look a state...i have my notebook for that :)

I also have files on my laptop, and work computer with wedding stuff in them...photos of stuff I like the look of, websites that look good etc etc, I will probably at some point print off some of the photos to add to my planning book

Im quite a 'crafty' person, so I will be doing a scrapbook of the wedding, that will probably include some planning stuff as well as photos from the day itself....but to be honest I will make it all from scratch (I never buy the books to add my stuff to) I make the covers and the pages myself...that way I can do whatever shape and design takes my fancy :)

I have an A4 l4ver arch file that i stole off my OH. Would you believe thats its almost full already..... I must be the most organized person on the planet. My wedding isnt until 2011 and I've pretty much got it all sorted already!! Its full of pages of photos that ive torn out of mags and glued onto paper. In hindsight ive torn so many pictures out that i may aswell have taken every single page of my magazines and stuck them in whole!!!

Hello, my name is Laura and I am a control freak.

I also have a little hard backed book that i take out with me when im out shopping incase i see anything i like and then i can jot down the price so i can compare to online shops when i get home.

I also took it when i went dress shopping so i could jot down style numbers etc. its come in useful as now i can remember exactly what ive tried on and also what my bridesmaids have tried and like

    HI,

I was thinking of creating my own scrapbook so I can put pictures of dresses, flowers etc in there and a little A6 notebook to keep with me so if I see something I like I can write it down.

An A5 project note book from Sainsburys which was reduced to 64p!! Its black with white flowers on so not completely plain.

Excel is also coming into the play too for budgets and finances
