If you are that worried about it, wait until they both go out then go round "in a panic" when they come back to say there were a couple of men in suits who called round and asked you some questions about what business they were running.

Obivously you didn't say anything to them but you thought they should know just in case they came back.

If they are doing anything illegal then it should put the wind up them enough to sort their finances out.

Ha ha! like your style!! :rotfl:

Personally I'd firstly look up the dictionary definition of 'friend,' then 'two-faced.'

Then, because you are such an upfront and honest individual, I'd point your friend in the direction of this thread and ask him what he thinks.

Really, you are a duplicitous human being, all this talk about being up-front and then hiding behind a forum id. I'm presuming that you're asking us about your quandry because you haven't got any other 'friends.'

If you're going to be up-front, then at least have the decency to be up-front, about everything.

Calm down Mistymaid, most people know at least one person who has undeclared income, or who is claiming JSA and doing a little work on the side. That's the way this country is at the moment. There is absolutely no incentive to play by the rules when you see those running the country and those supposed to be looking after the financial wellbeing of everyone making up their own rules, breaking them anyway, and getting away with it scot free.

Not to mention that our children and grandchildren are all now in debt thanks to this corrupt government bailing out greedy-!!! banks who apparently haven't learned any lesson at all.

I personally wouldn't feel comfortable having undeclared income but neither would I dream of dropping a friend in it. They take the risk they face the consequences if they get caught. The net effect to me is probably a few quid a year extra tax to compensate for what they haven't paid. Whatever that amount might be, it's small change compared to the hundreds or thousands of extra tax I'll be paying thanks to this government's generosity to themselves and Lloyds and the rest.
Quidco savings: £499.49 tracked, £494.35 paid.
