quick question about ice cream

Hi I just wondered if ice cream has been left out and defrosted can you put it back in the freezer to freeze it again and eat it. I just wondered if it will be safe to eat still dont want to waste B&J, even if it was on offer at £1.90

It is a very big no-no to refreeze ice cream, sorry. Even if you did it would have lost the volume of air that makes it soft textured to eat and you'd end up with a hard icey lump. If it's still semi-frozen though, I'd just eat it. I like really soft ice cream!Val.0

thank you, It ws really runny so quickly put it back in freezer this was yesterday so I will have to chuck it, gutted!!0
