Im sure modern day cars have a steering lock! and any professional thief would get that off in 5 mins or less.
    Kind Regards

All you have to do to get the one above off is to cut the steering wheel. With the appropriate cutting tool will be off in seconds, rather than minutes. Best ones are the big massive disc-lock type. Some would argue a thief will look and choose to go for a car without one though to save the hassle.

I was told a while ago that thieves break the steering lock (on the ignition) by ragging the steering wheel. Heard recently on a forum of someone attempting to steal a 1995 Skoda Favorit only managed to bend the steering column and did not succeed in breaking the lock itself. Having seen the steering lock it's easy to see how they failed as it's 1cm+ thick steel rod - and I am surprised Skoda would use such a good lock when they are only a budget car, and other MFR's used ones that could be snapped.
  • seems cheap enough mate, some of these things have actually been approved by thatcham. and if it gives you peace of mind on a budget then its more than paid for itself
