    Thanks for all the replies.

I was thinking of putting it on the DFW board but as I wanted to know specifically about a mortgage related question I guessed this board may be better.

I have taken the advice and told them everything so will just have to see what they say.

I nearly did post an SOA but figured that as I have this option to start making a difference I'm probably not in the need for all the help on there as much as some others (yet!). If I get turned down then I'll go and ask for expert advice.

Thanks all again, I'll post back when I find out the decision in case anyone else is ever looking at the same thing.

    Cheers

    crazy thinking.
The chances are there is a lot more you can do to improve your financial well being by getting a second opinion on your stratagy and spends.
By your own admission you have got it wrong upto now so why not get that second opinion. You don't have to impliment everything but at least yo can make infomed choices with how you allocate your money.

Personaly I thing going I/O on a mortgage has to be part of a well thought out plan with clear goals and not just a it will be all right(I hope) plan.

Even people with no debts benifit from a full financial review.
When we did ours we discovered we could have another holiday every year just by cutting out some takeaways. As it happens we now enjoy the takeways we do have even more, it had become a habit.
