Electric in kitchen and utility went on Sat eve and DH forgot to plug 2nd fridgefreezer into an extension and we didn't realise until late last night. Have 3 large chickens to cook and some puff pastry. The obvious thing is a chicken pie I suppose but have you any other suggestions. DH threw everything else in rubbish bin late last night just stopped him throwing chickens, which had just started to defrost. Any suggestions thanks
Starting to save £2 coins again, but it is a struggle:rotfl:Not doing very well keep spending them

I would cook the chickens (roast) and strip off the meat. Once cooked it is safe to re-freeze. Use some for your pie and portion up rest into meal sized freezer bags carefully though as they can only be frozen cooked once....
The rule is it can be cooked once fresh and then again once more after cooking.0 -

Chicken and leek pie (I often use frozen/defrosted roast leftovers for this) and ready rolled puff pastry.
Chicken pasties?
Other chicken ideas?
Chicken risotto (I often use frozen/defrosted roast leftovers for this)
Chicken curry
Chicken stirfry
I think I would do as suggested and just strip the meat off and freeze, then cook as required.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0
