CSA Arrears Please help!!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I have had an ongoing problem with the CSA for over a year now re-assessing my ex's wages and change in circs on contact.

The assessment has gone up and should be receiving arrears dating back to Sept last year however the CSA has informed me that there are no arrears as he pays maintainance direct to me and it's a mutual private agreement!! that i have to privately get the arrears off him!!

If the CSA has made an assessment on his wages and circs and told him what to pay etc how can it be a private mutual agrrement??

Obviously me ex is refusing to pay any arrears!!! It stands at £1,300 to date!!!

  • Sounds like the CSA have messed up yet again!

I'd get all your details & proof down in writing, keep copies of everything & send off to the CSA by recorded delivery, requesting/demanding that they get their act together & sort your case out, including arrears, properly.

Bolton Office staff are not trained properly and fully and the caseworker then has to muddle through and try and sort cases. Four weeks basic training and then thrown in at the deep end. ;)
    Its frustrating for them too.

    Is that true?

Why don't they just outsource the CSA to an overseas call centre .Every other organisation has done it near enough .:rotfl:

Here we go again - it is not due to the child, but for the child - they are 2 separate things. The money is in fact due to the PWC.

I'm working thru the same problem but as an NRP that has overpaid. The appears are still valid if the CSA did the calculation and told your ex what to pay. Some any arrears can be collected. BUT you will have to work hard at getting the CSA to agree with this and then to prove that you received the amounts due and nothing more. I had to provide over 2 years of bank statements to prove that I had paid!
