I have just looked on the Argos site and they are £4.99 but you cannot pick the book to reserve it just says assortment so individual titles will have to be picked up at store or its pot luck which 1 you get I think, good price for these though. Never thought of looking here.

  • I work at argos, and these are quite popular at the moment!!! If you dont the one that the pickers bring out on to collection, you can actually ask if they would mind looking if there are any other types avalible, obviously this wouldnt happen if there was only one in stock!!! There are quite a few avalible at argos including thomas the tank, bear (i think its in the blue house), spederman, and many others. Hope this helps!!!

If you get the Argos Leaflet and take it to Asda, They should price match (plus it's Easier to choose the title you want at Asda). Do Index still price match Argos (or was that Argos would price match index)?

Went into ASDA store and they refused to price match the leappad books with Argos.

Firstly they told me they only price matched supermarkets such as Tesco, Sainsburys etc though once I pointed out they had several posters throughout store explaining that they would price match any retailer.
They then decided that they do price match Argos ??? but only the normal prices and not anything from their sales. Have rang the ASDA custoemr services helpline who initially explained that they would price match it and contacted to store to inform them though the lady rang back to say sorry we do not price match "sale" items as I was advised in store.
So why do the poster's all around their stores say "Any Price, Any Offer"  >:(

Ohh! would you believe it rang again as I will not stop trying when I know I'm right ;D even if it was just a £5 difference, spoke to Rob at ASDA Customer Services helpline who again confirmed that I could price match the offer then rang the store and returned to inform me that after I left the store yesterday they realised their mistake and If I went in today they would price match it.

Very strange as when I rang helpline at around 3pm today, she rang the store and confirmed the store was right I could'nt price match "sale" items.

I don't really care as I can get these at the price I wanted!
