Do you have anything you could sell?
Somehow you need to find 90 more pounds a month, can you get anything more out of the council, or get more hours at work to get you steady?
I would make contacting the CCC a priority to see if they could suggest anything.
Are you a single parent? If so where is the father (i presume by your name) in all of this? Are your parents able to help out?
As you suggested selling up and renting near work may be the solution, but id look at that as a last resort
Just going back to the local job and ditching the car, would the benefits you get make up for any loss of income, plus the savings you would make in travel may be worth it.
Hopefully one of these suggestions will trigger off something somewhere0 -

Virgin 865 14.9%limit (6000)
If virgin are offering a 0% can you transfer you egg debt to virgin?
Does your egg card have a annervesary 0% for 5 months on it and when is it due? might fall lucky at the end of virgin term. worth looking into further[/QUOTE
]Egg anniversary in december it would work with virgin debt as 0% finishes jan0 -
Well I am a single parent,2 girls 6 & 16. The dads aren't really around but the father of the youngest daughter is paying for her ballet lessons. Is truly pathetic, but as he is supposedly unemployed I wouldn't get anything more from him.My parents live overseas.
I will definitely have to work longer hours. I live in a lovely place. Moving would be a wrench and maybe have to admit to the girls we have a big problem, but sometimes the thought of living with this debt, for the next ten years.
I still can't believe I didn't know how much debt I was in. I still cant bring myself to do a signature with my debts on. Basically I am afraid they will actually go up next month!0 -

Id talk to the 16 year old, make she could get a p/t job to help out, im sure the prospect of being homeless (just exagerating here) would make her more willing0 -
Hiya
Dont beat yourself up too much.
It is very hard doing it all on your own
Why dont you break things down & try first of all to get your budget ok first.
then when you have done that(v difficult!!) then you can concentrate on the debts nextI am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
