CBI presses for £120 billion Gov't spending Cuts

The Confederation of British Industry said the government should make the cuts to its budget and drive up efficiency by giving more of its members contracts to deliver services. The CBI wants the cuts implemented by 2015, two years earlier than the government plans

    I have seen suggestions that the UK's budget deficit may be closer to £200 billion this fiscal year rather the previously forecast £175 billion. Which won't help matters if it does rise even higher.

    225Bn lis the current realistic estimate.

    130 billion pulled out... And remembering, for every Civil servant sacked, thats about 6K income tax gone and an instant extra mouth to feed.

    Its brutal, neccessary and going to be painful.

    Especially when VAT hits 20%
