Hi can somebody advise whether I could freeze my left over tuna mayo?
I made a batch up last night for todays lunch but wont need the rest until thursday lunch.
Would it keep in the fridge that long or could I freeze it?
Thanks,
Hayley

Hi, i wouldn't personally be so sure about keeping it until thursday to be honest. Some people would disagree and say it's fine. I know you can freeze tuna, but am not sure how well it would freeze with the mayo as i dont think mayo freezes particularly well (but i've not tried itmyself).
Can you have it on toast or in baked potatoes or mixed in with tuna? Just change one ofyour meals to fit it in?
As i say, some wil say it's fine but personally i wouldn't leave it 4 days and think it's ok. Hope that helps.A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Hi pinkhayley,
It might last until Thursday, but personally I wouldn't risk it. Tuna is ok to freeze on it's own but again I'd be a bit dubious about freezing it mixed with mayonaise as mayo doesn't usually freeze well. Could you do as zippy suggests and find a way to use it up in the meantime in another meal?

Mayo can't be frozen because it will separate during the freezing process and will not resemble mayonnaise when you take it back out..yucky.
