I have never heard of it, but you can use normal bar soap, grated into hot water, with a spoonful of washing soda and an (optional) spoonful of borax. Or you can put the dry grated soap and the other ingredients into a washball straight into the drum. The measurements do not need to be exact. Use a bit of vinegar in the rinse aid compartment.0

I bought some in a supermarket when I was visiting the US last year to make washing gloop.
It is like the household soap that I can remember my mum using on dirty shirt collars.
It has a bit of a carbolic sniff about it...not strong.
I usually use whatever soap is on offer and I didn't notice any difference.0 -
I've never seen Fels-Naptha soap in the shops.
What about making it with Fairy household/laundry soap? I'm sure that's probably very similar and you can get that from most supermarkets.Dum Spiro Spero0 -
I use Smart Price soap at 13p for 3 bars - works fine0

Sorry, never heard of this; can you explain what it is, please
As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll move it to the I wanna board to see if the experts there can help you
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. They don't sell it in this country but Fairy soap works just as well (or any plain white soap, tbh). It's about the same as Sunlight soap but I don't think you can still get that, can you!0 -

You can, but it's expensive £3 for P+P too!

I wouldn't buy it from there, but if I was looking for it I would take the site as a sign they still make it and it may be found somewhere cheaper.0 -
I have made the gloop with white soap I am off to do my first load let you know how it goes
