I've got loads being nice. I even got a mini bus load of youth clubs into an ice hockey match for free after we turned up to ice skate and the ring was closed. The lead youth worker was yelling and I pulled her away and told her she was not going to get anywhere by shouting. After all the ring was closed, it was not going to open up for us!

I said to the girl on the entrance desk, "look, I know its not your fault, but what do I do with a bus load of kids after travelling for almost and hour to get here?" She said "I can let you in for free if you like". Result..

Shouting at people just gets their back up. After all they are only following store policy and you need to get them onside to persuade them to do something to help you out.
