I flicked through a copy in Somerfield and found it almost immediately.

Having said that it's probably not worth bothering with it.
I thought I might get an Express today and collect a clock from WHSmith (since I'd got the Saturday coupon/token) but decided I'd check that there were some left before doing so.
I was already going to WHS to collect the Telegraph Hitchcock DVD so enquired about the clocks at the same time.
ALL GONE ! And this was before 10am :eek:
Only 1 box delivered containing a couple of dozen as I understand it.
It arrived late but they were all dished out in about 20 minutes.

This is a BIG WHSmith store that sells about 200 copies of the Express everyday.

I think the TRADE DESCRIPTIONS ACT is being broken

I know the coupon says "Subject to availability" (in the very small print) but on the front cover of the paper on Saturday it says (in MUCH LARGER PRINT) "FOR EVERY READER"

What it should say is Free Alarm Clock
FOR 0.001% OF OUR READERSHIP PROVIDING YOU ARE IN THE FIRST 20 TO GET TO WHSmith WITH YOUR COUPON & TOKENS

They haven't made ANY real attempt to supply the likely take-up of the offer.

The Express and Daily Star do this time and time again.

Time someone complained I feel ......
