Airmiles vs Holiday vouchers & Nectar points

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, so please bear with me.
I have a Tesco credit card for the sole purpose of clocking up airmiles, so that one day in a million years from now I will be able to have a cheap flight.
However, I've just realised that maybe I would be getting a better deal using the Tesco clubcard points to buy the holiday vouchers from Thomson or whoever so I'm getting 4 x the value. However, is that still better than getting a cheap deal from lastminute.com or whomever?
I guess I've confused myself a bit, and just wondered what the best use of my points was. I'm guessing airmiles aren't terribly efficient if you are doing short flights as you still have to pay all the airport taxes. Or are they better for using towards hotels once you get to your destination?
I don't get a lot of clubcard points in a year, so If I did get holiday vouchers I don't want the vouchers to expire. Likewise, I'm not likely to use them for days out vouchers to get the 4 x the value.
I guess while I'm on the subject I've also got 60000 Nectar points, that I was saving up to put towards a flight or something. Any advice on whether this is an efficient use of the points?
Thanks for any advice you can offer

Hi, https://www.loyalty-points.co.uk has a section about airmiles with some very well informed posters, give them a try.0

Air miles are fine. Dont use them on away days or attractions like the Londons Eye. Thats a total waste. You know small amounts, but over air miles priced really. You can use them on domestic flights to connect where ever you are living to say Heathrow or the like to take advantage of cheap holidays. Unfortunately, the regional holiday prices are high compared to London. Also use them for Airmiles holidays or international flights, but you'll need a lot of miles if you have a family of four. Thats where another concept of air miles is quite handy, pay using part air miles and part cash. Have a look at their web site.
Collecting them is easy. Some electric suppliers will give you them for domestic electricity. Shell still give air miles away if you have a card to collect. Tesco is another one. All you have to do is combine a few retailers and use them any time you can. Apply for an air miles credit card and you'll immediately get a couple of hundred, you dont have to use it. Dabs used to give you air miles for purchases. Try a google search on air miles and there will be more firms out there. The air miles will clock up quite quickly. Ebay sell paper air miles. They can be added to your account, but watch it as they can go expensive.0 -
Hey guys. im off to drayton manor park on the 4th of june. im wondering if anyone knows where i can get a decent discount?
the one ive come up with so far is £4.00 off ticket price which is on Lastminute.com.
thing is also that there is two adults and two kiddies going so it can still work out to be a small fortune.
Any links or advice on how to get in any cheaper is much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Dawn0 -
£7 off at http://www.alitalia.co.uk/special_offers/e-coupon.htm.
Ebay have some good deals if you put drayton manor park in a search.0
