DEEDS... How much?

Does anyone know how much it is to change to deeds on a mortgage?
Does this have to be done at the solicitors ? I've seen information on the net stating that there are templates out there which you can use which does not cost anything?
Any ideas?

In what way are you changing the deeds?
Assuming it's a change of name you will need:
1) Lender's consent (around £200 but will vary)
2) A solicitor or licenced conveyancor to change the ownership on the deeds (I'd estimate around £300 for this)
As far as I am aware you cannot do this yourself.0
