measurements

Hi I have a recipe that requires 90ml of honey.

Does anyone know how many mils are in a tablespoon so that I could measure it out that way?

I was hoping one of you very clever old stylers might have the answer!

Thank you

Hayley

5 ml - think of kid's medicine measuring spoons and multiply up. I've always understood that the average table spoon is 25 ml so using one would take fewer sticky dips of the fingers to get out your required 90ml. Hope that helps.

One tablespoon is equivalent to 15mls, so you'll need six tablespoons of honey.

If you run boiling water over your tablespoon before using it in the honey, the honey will drop right off - much easier than having to scrape it into the bowl with another spoon. Same goes for treacle/golden syrup etc.

Also a teaspoon is 5 ml, a dessertspoon is 10ml and a tablespoon is 15ml.
