Loans and CCJ
Hello all,
I posted recentley about recieving a CCJ without my knowledge
from an old work place. I'm still trying to appeal this but have
come to accept that despite this, the likelihood of being successful
with this is slim...
I have a really good credit report (other than ccj), no debt (over than the ccj)
and have regular income. The CCJ was obtained as I was given a grant where I used to work in agreement to stay 4 years, but the bullying and harrassment got too much and I left. I also moved house and the company went bankrupt...but they have now surfaced to claim money (which I didn't recieve correspondence for as I moved house....hence the CCJ).
Are banks able to take the situation into account when lending to those with Ccjs or are we all tarred! Is there any loans out there that are best for those with CCJs in terms of interest rates or ones I should particually avoid?
Thanks for your help x

I fought a CCJ some years ago and won.
I had moved house so I didn't receive the letters.
My argument was that they had my mobile number and email address but didn't try to contact me by either method.
I argued I would have paid, had I known about it, but I simply had no idea.
Took about 3 minutes for the judge to set the CCJ aside (as if it were never issued in the first place)
Good luck0 -
Wow, well that's a bit more promising as they had my email (both personal and work) as well as my mobile number. I knew I owed the money but when I tried to contact them I got a deadline and my old workplace (who had changed buisness name) informed me that the orginal company was bankrupt and no longer in operation. I don't mind paying the money (even in the 30 days if possible) I just don't want the CCJ. I am seeking legal advice at the moment.
Well, I hope I'll recieve the same treatment from the courts but still if anyone knows any decent lenders for people who have a ccj I would still be grateful...just in case.0 -
an unsatisfied CCJ means you can't pay your current debts
obviously no decent lender will loan money to some-one who can't pay their current debts
clear the CCJ matter up asap.0
