Hi,
Currently as a student i need a removals company to pick my stuff up, store it over the summer months and to redeliver it to my new house in september..

Has anyone used the company BLADESPEED Removals - as i have recieved a quote for £199 all inclusive which is the best price but would like some feedback before booking:beer:

Has anyone found anywhere cheaper - or a company which has superior service in the manchester region

:)

There are loads of cheap "man with van" type removal companies round here but it's the storage aspect that creates the problem. Have you checked flyers in student halls and asked international students if they have any recomendations? Most UK students will just get their parents to pick them up by car and schlepp their stuff home for the Summer.

Other option is to try and find someone with a basement or garage who would let you stash your stuff there. Then you can use the services of a man with van. They advertise in the paper and have cards in Mr Bubbles and various newsagents. I think they'll move you from £20 a room.

Does your tenency not start still Sept? Most start on the first on July. If you are a UK student even if you are planning to go home before then it would probably be cheaper to come back up and move stuff then. I know there's bound to be some sort of cross-over, either with you moving into your new house as the last tenants are moving out or with you moving out as new tenants are moving in, but if you speak to the tenents you're swapping with they will probably be accomodating. After all, they'll be in the same boat.

How neat, I didn't even know that there were student specific removal companies. Are they more expensive than regular removal companies?
