Not meaning to sound rude, but i think thats your problem right there
£1000 is a lot for a table (no matter how nice), still with your plan you should be able to cover for it by september
Good luck!0 -

yes i certainly feel happier about it all now,
i am thinking of clearing my overdraft off first as i want to claim back bank charges of £650
Go for the claim first dont worry about the closure of the account, banks legally cant close down accounts because of this, its in the banking code somewhere (see the consumeractiongroup site for more info)0 -
ok, the table was brought last year on 0% and we where going to put so much away a month, but then hubby lost his job.

well by october you will have cleared off the CC anyway so no need to worry0

are you going to use your savings to put towards the CC - you really should you know cos its doing you kn favours where it is. I know its a wrench and people like to have savings as a back up - but at the end of the day - if you put it towards the CC you'll be saving interest, and then in the (very) unlikely even that something happens where you need the money then you could always use your credit card - but as I said this is unlikely. If you put the savings towards the CC and then thow everything else at it, you'll have it cleard in less than 6 months - and this is so much better than the original 3 years you were talking about. Then you can start your saving again - this time hopefully for the baby you'll be having!DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

thank you all to replied. hubby and I have decided to not use the savings for now, and start to pay 830 per month towards the cc bill (which will be cleared in 8 months) paying £215 interest.
Hopefully claim bank charges - 650 towards cc
if hubby does any additional work we are going to split it between the cc and savings
our decision not to use the savings has been because hubby has only just started new job, one month trial so if it goes well then he will have a permanemt job, but if not, then we'll need something to keep us afloat!
thanks again for your invaluable advice, you have made me see the light!!!!
We are going to start the repayments in June, so hopefully by xmas(or before) we will be clear!!!Make £10 a day challenge March 2013 £101.24 / £240 :j
