we got approved for a mortgage with our credit union, only joined it a few weeks ago. we got a 90% mortgage- my partner has a bad credit record, we told them this (no debt outstanding now), they considered us on affordability. more helpful than banks, your a person with them not just a credit score, they look at the full picture & look at who they are lending to and if you can afford the property0

try Natwest, myself and my partner are buying a house and just got a 90% mortgage @ 5.99% fixed. no product fees just the survey cost £275 for valuation or if you want Home Buyer report £475. I don't have the best credit history ie missed payments bank charges etc. we know we have passed the underwritters stage and are awaiting for the valuation and survey to be done.
Good Luck0
