does the OR take child benefit into account?

Yes, you must list it on your forms as a benefit.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

It should be somewhat academic anyway, as it is means tested, if your income is low enough to get it, you wont have a surplus to pay an IPA anywayThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

well you would think so wouldnt you?
Im in that exact situation and as i said before, narrowly avoided an IPA. now with the child benefit change its very likely they'll want me to pay it.0 -

I'm finding the whole 'will I get an IPA vs wont I' so confusing!
I know I cannot afford to pay one but I think the issue is whether OR will agree that my expenses are reasonable.
BTW, do you get the IPA descision at the interview or do they analyse and write to you?

usually IF your looking at an IPA the OR will write to you later down the line....the key here though is IPA(arrangement) so if you disagree with the figures you can always challenge the decisionWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Actually it says so in the bottem right hand section, or at least it does for us'This is the min amount the govermant says you need to live on'
You get HB because you would go below this if you didnt
Perfect deffence against any IPA/O in my view;)Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….

IMO it defies logic that anyone that depends on HB/CTB or IS should pay an IPA.
If you could service your own expenses without the need for state benefits then how can it be you can afford to pay an IPA?There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.0 -
Ok, i will try again, and be less subtle:p
Although i would not put it past an examier to try, they would be foolish too
Due to the nature of how HB is calculated, hell would freeze over before any OR could get a IPO if a recipiant of HB refused to agree to a IPA
The only way they would get away with it is if the BR let themThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….
