my claim is still being checked

My ex told the CSA he was self employed....he accidently left a wage slip in my sons bag after contact that showed otherwise, and yes I took it upon myself to inform the CSA of this who contacted the employers and got his wage info....this was 10 weeks ago they recieved it all back and passed it to the verifing team....its still in the pile apparently  they say its taking about 12 weeks on average for it to be checked as they are understaffed and only a few staff are trained up on this process...
anyone else had the same problem?
Annoys me because in 12 weeks he may of even left the company or even that his wages have changed and i'm back at square one

  • Im no fan of the CSA but to be fair, they cant drop every other case to concentrate on yours.
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.
  • If you read through a lot of the threads on this CSA section, you'll find there are loads of people in the same boat for various different reasons.

If your case does indeed take 12 weeks to process, then, in my opinion, you can count yourself lucky.

I'm not saying it's right that you have to wait that long; it's just that some on here have had to wait for years, some still with no resolution.

Did I mention anywhere that I expect them to do that?

  • you should feel quite lucky your still in the weeks stage.... i've been waiting for 4 years for them to finish my case and it still isn't done yet. 4 times through complaints and having given them his work details and address since he told them different details (as he wasn't legit). last time they got anywhere near finishing they missed off 2 years backpay so they had to start all over again!!!
