I want to find an Odd Shoe shop!

I don't mean a shop that sells wierd shoes, just odd ones.

Everyone has slightly different sized feet, my OH's are 2 sizes different. This menas buying two different pairs and throwing two brand new shoes away.

Does anyone know if a shop exists or a swap site for oddities?

I know Clarks have a scheme but they don't sell the kind my OH likes, so shoe shopping is pretty pricey in our household.

IIRC, Quackers has had this problem in the past with a family member. She also manages a shoe shop so maybe she will have some advice.

I'll PM her a link to this thread.

Thanks pink-winged, they are pretty recent threads so this must be a question that crops up frequently. I'll give solemates a call thanks.

Thanks Jay-Jay, that would be great.

awww, thats a shame 'cos thats the only place I know of that sell odd shoes

My daughter now has a 3.5 size difference between her feet and the difference is getting bigger as she's growing

Is there really nothing in Clarks he likes? I'm biased because I work there (been very handy for my daughter :D ) but they have a huge range now and some really nice styles. Do you live in a small town? Maybe a bigger CLarks store would have more choice for him?

Clarks add a 50% surcharge for adults shoes and a 25% surcharge for childrens shoes - my 14yr old is now in ladies shoes so its gone up to the 50% surcharge! Its not so bad when shoes are in the sales though.

I've asked about odd shoe schemes in most shoe shops and I've yet to find anywhere else that does them. I cannot be bothered ordering online as my daughters feet are so strange that I'd be constantly returning stuff.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help Georgiac xx
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...
