Are you doing weekly budgets for everything, including petrol, groceries, social etc? Only asking because we get £150 pw out to cover all these and generally don't have much left! Any advice, we get this out for a household of 2 people.0

Spent only £1 today, have absolutely nothing left in my purse, so I'll have to cope with NSDs until payday on Monday.Debt free 11/05/11!
Savings £4000/ £3000 -

I usually don't include things I have another budget for like food and transport but would include going out and bars of chocolate etc. Really include what works for you, some people do include everything they spend.
You might be better splitting your £150 into allocated categories and then try and reduce each a little at a time otherwise if it were me the social bit may take over everything else. Also I am guessing your petrol is probably a fixed amount and then you can keep track of your groceries.
Spends for me today were £1 on card for work, £9 on dinner with OH and £6 on drinks at the theatre, £2 on drinks from shop. Total £18.
