Britsh Grand Prix...free child ticket!

Just incase like me there are any F1 fans out there I stumbled across this offer tonight which although not cheap is a good deal.

buyagift.co.uk are offering one free child ticket for every adult ticket purchased through them. The adult ticket (bronze general admission) costs £99 and the saving on the free child ticket is £49. The site aren't actually making anything on this as far as I can see as to purchase them direct from the circuit is the same price (the devil may be in the detail like £50 p & p lol but it looked a pretty good offer).

Like I say, the tickets are expensive in the first place (and they wonder why ticket sales are low this year) but this is a very good offer.

Ticket sales are low due to something called The World Cup.

I expect Silverstone to be doing lots of offers to get people away from football :D

Probably be a lot of corporate freebies, so I hope my employer gets me a free ticket :D
  • You're not wrong there LOL

But saying that I've not found any decent offers other than this, and boy have I looked!

I've already bought my tickets long before my husband realised the dates (sneaky) but was releaved to find out they have moved the qualifying times to fit in with the game and they will be showing it on the big screens around the circuit.

I have noticed though that all those who bought them up hoping to sell them on ebay for twice the price are now beginning to get a bit nervous :rotfl:

Only £99 for a bronze ticket?? God last year they were about £150 or more and you had to pay for kids.
Presumably everyone who is anyone will actually be in Germany for some football event or other. Unfortunately Silverstone is a bit of a dull circuit for watching this live, but at £99 a ticket I may surprise the missus.
Not sure how risky some of these companies are though - you have to buy a voucher then send it to Silverstone, and are there any guarantees Silverstone will issue a ticket? e.g. what if they have sold all the bronze tickets when you send the voucher????
In case you can't get a ticket britishgp.co.uk still have F1 Paddock tickets available for Friday-Sunday for just £2,187 each but not sure if you get a child discount :D
You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.

    Just looked on fleabay myself...

Sellers are claiming that tickets are sold out LOL, just checked official site, and same tickets what they are selling is not sold out, so they are getting desperate.
  • Now why can't my husband say things like that??:rotfl:
  • I read in an F1 forum that ticket sales are down 10,000 this year due to the World Cup and price etc. So yes some very worried ebayers out there. Saying that though I might just flog my car park pass on ebay as I'll be camping and wont need it, made £30 for it last year so it's got to be worth the listing fee!!!

I agree with the voucher thing especially as there's less than 3 weeks to go but it should be OK and they do have a ticket 'collect on the day' office.

I think I'll leave it till the last minute and see if any of the ticket agencies have clearouts of the hundreds of leftovers they're bound to have :)

Whick ticket agencies do this? Is it ticketmaster?
  • Have a 'google' on Silverstone tickets and they should all come up, there's loads of agencies out there. Previous years they have charged silly prices, way over the actual circuit bought ticket price!

    Good luck!

I did read a while back (will have to find out where) that they were offering free tickets to people who lived within so many miles of the circuit, 20 miles I think.

The following World Cup fixtures clash on F1 Grand Prix day...

    SUNDAY 11 JUNE

    GROUP C
    Serbia & Mont. v Holland
    Leipzig, 1400

    GROUP D
    Mexico v Iran
    Nuremberg, 1700

    Angola v Portugal
    Cologne, 2000

I'm sure anyone that's into F1 enough to pay up to £349 per ticket isn't going to be put off by those fixtures.
