Freezing Raspberries?

Help - I got a fantastic bargain in Sainsbury's tonight. They had raspberry punnets 2 for £3 reduced to 30p per punnet. So I bought 6 but would like to freeze them but don't know how!

Can any one advise me best thing to do?

Thanks.

your best bet would be to rinse them, dry them *gently* :D and then spread them out on a tray, so that they aren't touching. Then freeze them overnight. In the morning you can take them off the tray and put them into a bag, back into the freezer.

Raspberries go a bit mushy after they've been frozen, but they're great for smoothies and deserts where you want the flavour but don't need them to look perfect.

I got a punnet of organic raspberries at sainsburies yesterday for 20p.
Whenever I freeze raspberries I just stick the punnet straight in the freezer. We usually use frozen ones warm (with whipped cream and ice cream) or in a pudding where shape doesn't matter.
Also got a punnet of organic blueberries for 20p, also in the freezer now :)

I also freeze them in the punnet I dont wash them at all as they break up - nice defrosted in microwave or put straight from frozen into a jelly and they set it so quickly.
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j

Spread the raspberrys out on the ice tray in freezer and use defrosted to top home made puddings.
