    Thanks to the original poster of the right guard glitch on another thread I got four tin of right guard and only paid for 1.

    But when I got home I wondered could I have actually got 6 for 1. A similar glitch happened about 18 months ago on No.7 suncare - bogof and 3 for 2 on at the same time meant people wer getting 6 for the price of one.

    Excuse my explanations as I am not very good at this

    No.1 tin - pay £2.45
    No.2 tin - goes through free as BOGOF to No.1 tin
    No.3 tin - goes through free as part of 3 for 2 (Nos. 1, 2 and 3)
    No.4 tin - goes through as free as BOGOF to No.3 tin
    No.5 tin - pay £2.45
    No.6 tin - goes through free as BOGOF to No.5 tin.
    Then should take off £2.45 as 3 for 2 will also kick in (Tin No.s 4, 5 and 6)

    Does that make sense?

    Well I went today and it worked - exactly as I said above so for £2.45 I got six tins of right guard deodrant - will keep my teenage sons going for a while

    Cheers Anic, excellent posting!! :)

    Hi, managed to do the right guard 6 4 1 today,think this may also work on mens sanax deo as this is also bogof, so should work the same way.
    No, it doesn't work on the Sanex - bought 4 at lunch and only got the BOGOF (only a £4.18 saving for 4 cans, where cans are £2.09)

    Firstly, if this does work, it is NOT as good as the Right Guard offer if that is in stock.

    The Mens SANEX deodorant costs £2.09 for a 150ml can and £2.79 for the 250ml can (the RG 250ml is only £2.45)

    However I agree with durham05. I had BOTH the RG 2 for 1 and the Sanex 2 for 1 shelf edge advertising cards side by side a few hours ago.
    Apart from the product description they are IDENTICAL in what the offer comprises.
    In the case of the Sanex it also applies to ROLL-ON products and NO SIZE is specified for the aerosols - so both the 150ml & 250ml cans should be included.

    Obviously, as per the Right Guard offer, it is ONLY the MENS products that will work (if it is going to) in a 6 for 1 manner.

    The 3 for 2 part of the deal is on ALL MENS TOILETRIES - except razors & blades & gift sets (which are listed on the offer posters) - so the MENS SANEX should obviously be included just like the Mens RG.

    Might have tried it myself yesterday afternoon - IF they had ran out of RG (but they hadn't) AND IF there were SIX cans of SANEX of the same size on the shelves - BUT THERE WEREN'T !

    Bhamstudent - Possibly wrong conclusion. How can the 6 for 1 offer even attempt to work if you only bought 4 ?
    If you had ONLY bought 4 cans of men's RG you would have only got the BOGOF offer (only a £4.90 saving for 4 cans, where cans are £2.45)
    When I did it the 5th & 6th cans trigger the whole double discount if you watch the total go up & down as you scan them on a self scan till.

    Having said all that, it just might not work IF the till computer system has a different setting for the Sanex product that prevents both offers from being applied simultaneously like the RG.

    Anyone want to be a GUINEA PIG and double check?
    Perhaps try it with 6 of the 150ml, then 6 of the 250ml, then 6 of the Roll-On ?

    I tried the Sanex one a couple of days ago and it didn't work (BOGOF only). I believe that the reason is that, although they are men's deodorants, the scan just shows Sanex and not Sanex for men so they are not identified.

    I was very disappointed but I did not feel I could take them back so I have Sanex until the day I die. ;)

    quoia - Buying 4 would have triggered the 3 for 2 element of the deal - had it been working I would have paid this:

    2.09x4= £8.36
    Less BOGOF = £4.18
    Less 3 for 2= £2.09
    TOTAL= £2.09.

    (or something similar - my brain isn't totally switched on yet!)

    I think the reason it does not work is partly as sofeac says above - but also the 3 for 2 signs clearly say that its on items "on this display only". The sanex is never with the "Mens" toiletries in boots, despite it being for men.

    And, whilst it might not be as good a deal - I much prefer the Sanex to the RG stuff!
