NACSA Full rep service

Hi there,

Ive recently spoken to NACSA about the FRS and i am 99% sure i will be handing everything over to them at the end of the month. I was wondering whether anyone else on the fourm has used this service as a PWC or an NRP?

I also want to claim my data protection files before i hand it over out of curiousity really, has anybody else done this? how quickly did you get the files? and did you have to pay the £10?

Thanks guys & gals :)

I have not had to use them , but they were spoken of very highly on another forum, ALL reports were that it was well worth the investment.

I claimed my DPA files it took them appx 45 days following a letter from them asking which files i required and from what offices .

i never had to pay any money so unless they ask for it dont send them the £10
I only speak of my own experiences. and research that i have carried out whilst dealing with my own case with the child support agency

Ive done this a few times.

    Never been charged a fee.

Always had all documents, screenshot printouts and phonecalls on cds within 3 weeks.

I have even phoned them before and thanked them for their quick response.

I guess it depends on how many requests that have at any given time.
When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.

    Within 10 days,

You dont need to pay a fee, only a registrant company or person can charge £10 under Section 7 of the Data Protection Act, but the CSA is a statutory body and is excluded from requirement to be registered.

10 days!!! have you been drinking!! :rotfl:

the law states 40 days from reciept of request. the csa don't acknowledge the law though and send them out when they can be @rsed.

    mine took 68 days.

I dont get that. In my requests I always make it clear what I want. That way things arnt delayed by them sending out letters seeking clarification for things.

Be clear and consise about what you want. Perhaps you arnt being and thats why you havnt been given your phonecalls.!.!.!

    If you contact the office that deals with their data protection stuff you will find that they are really helpful, well atleast they were to me. If you are unsure about what you can ask for, or how to write a letter to them etc;
