Full freezer - but never know what to cook

Hi Everyone

Back here looking for inspiration

I have done a store cupboard and freezer list

In the store cupboard I have pretty much eveything you need as basics
Tins - Toms, Baked Beans, Kidney Beans, Chickpeas, Sweetcorn, Tom Puree
Herbs/Spices
Rice, Pasta, Noodles, Couscous
Various oils

In the freezer as follows

6 ready meals - emergency supplies for teenage son when he gets munchies - he does not eat bread - just doesn't like it - so a sandwich or toast is no good
1 SB Lasagne - emergency when OH has to cook

Salmon joint - saving for Christmas
Lemon Sole Goujons
4 Breaded Haddock
1 Breaded Plaice
Bag of haddock fillets
Bag of scampi
Bag cooked prawns
½ bag mussles
Bag raw tiger prawns
6 kipper fillets

5 onion sausages
5 piri piri sausages
6 cumberland sausages

6 camembert in breadcrumbs
Mini chicken kievs

6 pork faggots

2 medium beef joints
1 large pork loin joint
1 medium shoulder of lamb

6 small lamb chops
6 pork loin steaks
6 chicken breasts
4 x 250 grams beef mince

2 x Family sized portion of chilli

Potato wedges
Hash browns
Garden Peas

Some desserts - mainly SB cheesecake and ice cream

We will eat most things, but not everyone likes the same

I won't eat shellfish - just don't like it
DS won't eat sausages or the faggots
OH does not like frozen veg - hence why only peas available

TIA
Gilly

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
With the breaded fish you make a fish pie of some kind....

With the steak and chicken, or pork...various stir fries (sweet and sour etc.).

With the seafood how about shrimp alfredo (yummy), make your own batter and deep fry the tiger prawns or a nice shrimp salad.

With the lamb..couscous and peas ;)

I could go on and on hehe.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
You could use the sausages for meatballs, cook in a tomato sauce and serve with pasta - no good for your son, but nice for you and your OH. If you add frozen peas and a bit of chilli you end up with what my dad calls 'Spanish sausage casserole', which is very nice indeed!

Assuming you've got some fresh veg you could have a nice roast - pork, lamb or beef, depending on what you fancy - and you end up with leftover meat for a meal the next day: there's plenty of threads on what to do with leftover meat if you go with that plan.

The mussels and prawns could be used for a paella-type dish (not for you, I know); the chicken breasts could be stuffed with herby soft cheese, wrapped in bacon and roasted; pork steaks are nice brushed with sweet chilli sauce (if you've got any) and grilled; mince could be meatballs or burgers, or bolognese sauce to go with pasta...

I might come up with some more ideas at half time - the Portsmouth match has just kicked off and I can't listen to football and think of recipe ideas at the same time, apparently!
    :o
Back after a very long break!
