Help with loans

Hi,
I have quite a big problem. Basically i've fallen behind on my credit card and my overdraft due to having some difficulties meeting payments, losing my bank card so having to cancel everything, and just being bad with money.
I sat down with an advisor in an advice centre to go through everything, they told me my best best would be to get a consolidation loan, ie get a loan of around £2000, pay off my credit card in its entirity, and pay off part of my overdraft (certainly the arrears)
I've been trying and trying and getting nowhere. Only companies that seem interested are the ones that charge you.
Can anyone help with some advice at all?!

because you have fallen behind you now have a poor credit score so are unlikely to get a loan from a reputable lender, and you dont want to bother with those who want upfront fees(see the many post on here about these rip off merchants),and tbh its never the best idea to borrow more money to pay off debts.Perhaps you could come to an arrangement with the c/card co. to pay this off,and repay your OD as best you can, unless the bank would increase it to cover the shortfall?0

I agree, it is not a loan you want. A loan is simply going to make things worse.
You are clearly not earning enough to support the way you have decided to live.
You really need a change of livestyle. Stop going out, stop spending money on the things you consider "normal", buy cheaper food, reconsider your financial commitments (mobile phones, BB, Sky etc)
Live like a pauper for a few months to get YOURSELF back on track, without borrowing more.
Unless you can address WHY you have ended up like this, things are simply going to get worse the longer it takes for you to realise.0 -
Try posting on the Debt Free Wannabe board, over there we can help you do what Chr15 suggested in the least painful way. If you fill in an SOA (satement of affairs, a list of your income and outgoings) then people will have all the info they need to advise you. There's a template here:
