Beneficial Interest

Hi

Has anyone tried to go through the process of gaining beneficial interest in a property?

I am about to move out of my partners house after 11 years of living together (17 years together in total) and I have been advised that this may be the only way I could claim any sort of recompense from the end of the relationship.

I know I will need to seek professional legal advice but was just wondering if anyone had been through the process?

Thanks in advance.

You will need a solicitor, in what way do you think you are entitled to beneficial interest? Did you pay half the mortgage? Did you pay for repairs etc? Can you come to some agreement with your ex? Would you be happy to take a cut of an negative equity if there was some?
