Has anyone done this?
What would be a reasonable daily rate to charge for boarding in your own home?

    I used to do this.

Initially, I googled boarding kennels in my area to get an idea of an average price. (Prices do seem to vary between regions etc)

From my own research, I charged £15 per 24 hours or part thereof. I also requested that owners provided the animals' food to avoid upset stomachs and to bring their dogs' bed/favourite toys, plus instructions of the dogs daily routine.

From what I remember, I think I undercut local kennels by around 25% and people were happy to pay.

    Hope this helps.

there are regulations that boarding kennels have got to adhere to etc...

be licensed, insurance, dispose of poo etc

i honestly think the money you get will not worth the hassle,

also what will you do if the dog turns out to be quite possessive of one of your chairs or an area in your house? and starts barking/biting?

what if the dog gets out, and runs away? gets knocked down etc ?

sorry to sound negative, but all these things have got to be thought out

I kind of agree with Cooltrikerchick, i don't think its that worth it unless your intending to turn this into a proper long term project..
