6 months waiting for my rebate
IC-chas
found out in april this year that my csa payments should have stopped on 31/8/2007.my payments have always came direct out of my wage through a standing order and i have never disputed it as i allways reckoned i could pay my csa until my daughter was 19.
since getting in touch with the csa in april i have been told that i am due a substantial amount of money back as a refund due to overpayments since 2007..over £4000 i am due back but i am still waiting on this refund 6 months later.i have been through 4 different case workers and my case has also went from finance to quality departments and i am now being told that i could be waiting for another 8 to 10 weeks for the money that i am owed..has anyone got any info or advice they can give me to get this case chased up quicker..thanks in advance

My advice would be to contact your MP and get him/her to give the CSA a much needed kick up the @55 - why should you have to wait all this time for your money? Have they told you why they are delaying your payment?
I would also submit a complaint, in writing, about the way in which your case has been handled (or not handled) by the incompetent organisation that is the CSA. Keep records of all telephone conversations but, if you can, deal with them in writing, that way you should have a paper-trail.0 -
Issue Court papera after sending then a letter giveing then 7 days, play them at thee own game, and guess what they dont like it!!!!0

I wish I could affored to overpay someone by £4000!!!When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0

That is generally good advice. I dont let it bother me too much though in my ongoing dispute because if you call them then the calls are recorded and you can easily request a copy. Well ive never had any problems anyways. When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0
