First Active

Options
Are First Active any good? Have never heard of them but their fixed rate mortgages seem pretty good. They aren't one of these 'dodgy' finance companies similar to the one fronted by Carole Vorderman are they?

    Hi,

No, they are not a dodgy lender at all. They have some very compepetive products and are completely above board.

I am with them and am very happy with their products and services.

If it reassures you they are part of the Royal Bank of Scotland.

You've NEVER heard of First Active?

Jeez, the commercials they run EVERY ad break must be wasted on you then.

I think I've seen that window one at least 1,0002341 times so far.

    No, they're legit.

Fantastic lender, fantastic products, fantastic service. well to brokers anyway I don't know about direct clients. Oh and a great customer retention scheme meaning you might not have to remortgage again for some time.

As you can tell, I clearly like them :)

    thank you all

and no i haven't seen their ads on the TV - until i started to think about mortgages i used to 'switch off' mentally when mortgage adverts appeared on the TV...and to be honest i usually pop out the room for a cuppa or to do something else when the ads come on! :-)

Its one of those names that as been around for a while , or is it one of those companies that as been around a while under different names (remember Mortgage Trust , First Active Financial, Britannic Money ... )

anyway Royal Bank of Scotland now owns the name in UK ( and Ireland) and is used for one of their distribution brands ( RBoS also use this brand in its connection with Tesco mortgages)
