Clothes drying help please

Just spoke to E-on today and thanks to this board, my total gas and electric bill for 3 months is £52! :T
They're sending me some lightbulbs, carbon monoxide detectors etc
Now to my question. I am struggling to dry my clothes and bedding. I don't have a tumble dryer, and am not allowed a washing line. I currently use a standard airer
Is it
a - better to put the heating on and boil, just to dry my clothes?
b - buy a heated airer - and do they cost much to run?
c - other suggestions!

£52 for 3 months. Have you checked your readings.0
-
yes - thats with the readings I took and gave them yesterday. I rang them back today and they had input the readings and confirmed my bill. I am a very low user0

Put the airer by a radiator if possible - they should dry pretty quickly that way.0

We just bought one of these:

and I am liking it so far.
States on the website that is costs less than 3p an hour to have on.:starmod:I'm a SAHM to a smiley snuggly adventurous cheeky bundle of b:male:y b.Oct10. :j

oh that might be good - at the moment I put the airer by the rad, but I don't need my heating on, and I hate putting it on to dry clothes, and then have to open a window as I'm boiling!0

I use the sun
I do my washing when I know it is going to be sunny. I do it in the evening before and get it all on airers in a sunny room. It always dries by the next evening
I have lots of airers and can get loads up inside
congrats on such low usage op0 -
I think maybe buying another airer first might be an idea - then they'll have more room to dry. I couldn't believe the bill, I knew I had been wroking hard to get it down but I was so shocked! Last bill was £88 for 3 months0

Well done on getting your heating bill so low, do you live on your own? I have just walked upstairs and adult kids gone out - all bedroom lights left on! my jaw dropped as I snapped them off.
Dry clothes overnight on the airer as every one is in bed no one will see.If winter comes, can spring be far behind?
Spring begins on 21st March.0 -
If you have a conservatory/sun room then dry them there. I have a sheila maid airer and when the sun is out it really speeds up drying.total wins 2013 £5500 2014 £7500 2015 £23,900 2016 £10,650 2017 £13,040 2018 £10,620 2019 £10,115 2020 £3970.00

Well done on the electric bill
. I am sure I pay that for the electricity my daughter's straightner's alone! I just use airers and find everything dries ok.
