No, this is just obsolete. 1GB of memory is way too little to work, and buying more DDR1 memory is very expensive, because it is so old. Any reasonable system made within the last 3 years should really have DDR2 memory. If you are looking for a cheap priced laptop, i really think this is a true bargain.0 -
thsths
I am sure you are right.
I remember dreaming of 1 GB of memory years ago.
I have re looked at the offer and it is still a good deal if you are looking for an additional wireless, general business type notebook etc.
I have a sony Viao of similar specification and when i run the Internet , Microsoft Office and Photoshop at the same time it definately slows down.PC

Actually, just checked on crucial's website, it can take DDR2 memory, upgrade to 2GB for just £33.34 and there are 2 memory module slots, but 2GB should be adequate for your average user. These business laptops are usually of a higher quality than consumer ones, and it comes with a core 2 duo processor. I think this is a good deal, just a shame the website doesn't explain what they mean by "grade A."0 -
Totally agree canonyau
Business machines tend to be of a better build quality.
My sony is good, but i had an IBM T42 before that and it was bullet proof.PC
