Unauthorised debit payment to Debt Line
Hi there everyone, wish i was posting under happier circumstances.
Myself and my fianc! have been struggling for the last 18 months with payments and bills as we are both part time minimum wage earners (30 hours pw, £5.85 ph). To try and clear debts and put a little aside for our wedding in 2 years we tried to get a loan of 6000 from castle finance who send details to "reputable" creditors. After about 2 dozen various phonecalls from various companies, i think i finally went with a debt management company just because i needed help, this was about a month ago.
Today, £150 has been taken from my account from "Debt line - Bournemouth" in 6x£25 payments, i take it that this was their fee, but this was without ANY correspondence from the company I dealt with.
I have googled it and found it to be part of Advantage loans and Debt line (the former specializing in debt management)
To cut things short, i need that money back, I have £2.18 left in the bank and we were both paid last thursday(our monthly pay), i have no mobile nor house phone (both disconnected due to non-payment), we have a Provadent loan for both of us totalling £600 in total, and quick quids for £189. We see no light at the end of the tunnel, and no way of having any sort of a decent life. We are both quite depressed but know we cannot stay off work, that would be financial suicide. Tax credits have deemed us suitable for £8 a week, which is laughable.
Can anyone help?

If they haven't provided you with a loan at the rates and amount discussed and are a loan broker and the £25's were their fee you should be able to complain to them and have it refunded minus £5 on each. Not great but better than nothing.
Seems odd they have done 6 seperate payments, usually it's one for about £50, this could be something completely different though and hopeully someone else with better knowledge will come along.
Posting on the debt free wannabe board could also help you.
I would also suggest contacting CAB or CCCS to try and get your debt all out in the open and a DMP in place before it's too late0
