Can I cancell PPI after having claimed?

I have a loan with NatWest, repayment #90.87pm, of which #20.36 is PPI. Last Summer my mum was terminally ill & I took 2 1/2 months off work sick to help care for her & to help sort everything out after she died. During this time I claimed 3 months PPI for my loan repayments.

Does anyone know if you can cancel PPI after you have claimed on it? I have paid #220 more than I received to date, & have quite a few months left to run.

Sorry if the answer is elsewhere - i can't find it!

    No!
Nice try but at the very least they would want
their money back and you would lose out!

It actually depends - some PPI insurance is actually a monthly policy and not a full loan term policy and therefore can potentially be cancelled. However given that you have already claimed once (and therefore seen its advantage) why would you now want to cancel?
