Can I freeze almond slices

Options
I made some almond slices today and I over did it, I have two quite big trays of them.

I would like to pass them round but as that is not quite possible does anyone know can I freeze them?

I have found that virtually all biscuits and cakes freeze well

  • I have frozen shop bought ones before and they were OK.

I've found that the almonds on the top got a bit chewy but nothing too major, I would freeze them again

Thank you to everyone who answered my original question.

Yes they have a pastry bottom, I used shop bought shortcrust pastry and used strawberry jam instead of rasberry and flaked almonds on the top.
I made two baking trays so I doubled the ingredients, in the video she said 180 degrees and leave for 20 minutes, mine took about 50 to 60 minutes they might have been a bit deeper than hers, best thing to do is leave until nicely browned and put a skewer in the center if there is no mixture on it then I would say it was done :D

    Good Luck :D
  • I'm on a diet, but loved the video and want to make some almond slices next week now!
