Unhappy Boots employees?

Can't go into details, my wife has just had very unhappy experience as Boots employee for 3 days. Extremely poor recruitment, resulting in mistakes over hours/days willing to work. Not allowed to persue any grievance, not given terms of employment and then almost bullied into resigning.
Unofficially she heard that store has lost several staff over this, new and old
Anyone else had bad experience??

I worked for Boots many years ago, and I found them a fair employer, however saying that it depends on the store manager.
If your wife is unhappy with her being made to resign, get her to write a letter to Head office in Nottingham and copy the store manager in.
How was your wife made to resign?0 -
You might want to change your thread title, and remove references to the actual company she's been working for - you give your location so not too hard to identify her if anyone from the company happens to stumble across the thread.
Your wife doesn't have to be given a contract / terms and conditions of employment until she's been there for two calendar months. No-one can prevent her from raising a grievance - if her line manager won't accept it she can send it to Head Office with a note of that fact.
Here's what the ACAS website says about grievances and Employment contracts.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I'm still waiting to hear if I have a job there and it's been a week since the interview.
They did say it could take up to ten days though and I would hear one way or another but I just want to be put out of my misery now! I actually thought that the interview went well.0
