Hi! I made a pumpkin pie about 9 o clock last night? Covered it in clingfilm and left out the kitchen work top....as it's a custard based thingie....should I have put it in the fridge? Worried than I have to bin it now, because I left it out instead of fridge??
Thanks,0 -
I don't think that leaving it out overnight is going to do it any harm- it's going to be nicest served at room temperature rather than chilled anyway.
My only concern would be that if you put the cling film on when it was warm then the edge of the crust will have gone soggy, so next time I'd cove with a tea towel until cool and then either eat it or put it in the fridge, but I certainly wouldn't bin it!0 -
