Seems like visitors from MSE are by far the biggest source of website referrals and they want to limit our impact.

Can't say I blame them ... you can't scale a server for 100% support absolute peak traffic or you couldn't afford to run your business.

Ohhh noooo they can't blame you, the second they list and a stock checker picks it up they will be bombarded anyway, it is so useful to know roughly what time to wait around for stock, I have only just had a shower today and now I'm scared to move and do things that need doing in case I miss anything! :rotfl::rotfl: Their site had problems coping weeks ago before I even started this thread.

Not necessarilly correct, as their biggest business is in wholesale distribution ... their own stock is usually much smaller than that which is shipped to other retailers.

The rrp is actually £9.99 and they've been a lot more than that on amazon marketplace!!

OMG......my boots order from yesterday has been dispatched!!!!!!!!!!! wooooooo hoooooooo....looks like ds will have a hammie for xmas-got pipsqueak too which he will love-now to find something to go with it (at least its a start!!) Thanks folkies.xx

ps my toyrus said that they are getting the delivery 2night and they will be on the shelves 2morrow morning im going to get down there early and i mean early prob be down there about 6.30 am :eek: i know it sounds like madness but im determined to get my daughter something

do you think i will need a baseball bat with me to fight people off is it going to get violent? or is it first person in the que gets to go in and pick up 2 items and then the next person comes in to get something ?

I agree and in fact I run one of the stockcheckers (plus a new faster mirror to cope - auto updates every 30 secs - no F5s needed :T). The fact was that Character was under assault before there was a single post here that the stock was on.

But ... I do work with them and need to respect the sensitivity of any information that they share with me.

So please .... no more 'ask Lizdav' posts now. Doubt that I can say anything.
