I got a Hamster for my Grandaughter, but didn't get anything to go with it. My Daughter and I were like kids ourselves and opened the box very carefully so we could have a little play.:j:D

I got the white one and let it have a little run around the kitchen whilst we chatted over a cup of tea.

The little blighter is fast and within seconds had gone behind the fridge.

Now because it goes backwards and forwards it got in real trouble and became completely stuck.

So there we were my Daughter and I trying without success to move the damm Large Fridge, we gave up on that and resorted to sticks poked under the fridge to try and push it out.:eek::mad:

We eventually after 35 mins managed to push it far enough out to pick it up with the vacuum cleaner on full suction.:j:j
Anyway the now not white but grey dusty hamster has fully recovered, not clean enough now to put back in box and give as a present.:rotfl:

I dread to think what xmas day is going to be like for all us Hamster lovers, if you can get the house all the better just don't let it out.:rotfl:

If you want to make your own hamster costume (yes, I'm not kidding), have a look at this website. http://www.smarthamsterpets.com/It gives you info on the new hamsters and accessories that are being released in the USA. If you look at the bottom of the website there are 9 pages to click through which tell you all about the different pets and add ons etc. Useful if you are interested in getting a more indepth insight into these little rodents!

  • Will you add your vacuum cleaner to Revoo and explain its hamster-suction abilities?

we might all need that advice on boxing day......
If at first you dont succeed.............skydiving is not for you !

Ordered the blanket/carrier and blanket/bed combos from Blah DVD.com last night.

I have checked my order today and it is showing as pending & not on backorder so I am keeping my fingers crossed they turn up!

They had all colours available, so might be worth a try.

I've got everything on order from there, it all says pending but nothing is listed on the site anymore (except the hamsters), praying it all comes or it's back to square 1 for me!

I was just browsing ebay for zhu zhu pets like you do....when I came across a starter set, which at the moment is only available in the US. It is a bit different from the deluxe house. But you get a different hamster called Patches, that you can only get in this set.

I phoned my wee girls dad and told him about it and he said he would half in with me Woohoo.

So it was £41 all in. and that gets me a go go pet, which are rougly £10 and a house which would probably be about £19. So about £12 p+p from the states. I dont think is tooooo bad!!

Plus I am only paying for £20.50 of it lol!

I got a house from Preston Toys R Us tonight, there were 3 left on the shelf. Haven't even got a hamster yet but know they aren't that hard to get hold of so not so worried about that lol. They had like a spirally slide and something else to add on to the house, plenty of those too.

Just in case some of you are after houses (for the hamster of course) and hamsters (no Mr Squiggles - seems to be the popular one). They have them in Toys r Us Warrington. They are near the door and also at the back of the store. No add ons or accessories unfortunately.

  • I've just ordered some accessory packs from john lewis website, you can't specify colour though.
