just to let you know, toysrus are supposed to be getting hamsters into most stores for friday, saturday and poss sunday, only hammies though, according to their email they will not reserve anything. so best bet is to phone nearest tru and wait outside at 9am.

for anyone wanting the bed set toysofcharacter.com have a few available at £9.99 + p&p of £1.50. One only per order. I've not tried to get one 'cos I've not got a hamster yet to go in one!

I want one, but not that much? Thats nearly ebay prices!
I am starting to wonder why I am still doing this?

just think if john lewis had only let 1 per order there would have been at least 60 odd happy people now.

Anyone else rushing around trying to get dinner sorted for their children (in between bouts of F5ing of course) in preparation for the mad rush at 6pm?

    Stupid question eh? :rotfl:

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Man! I cannot believe I went downstairs to open the door to only canvassers and then thought i'd grab a drink! Silly me.. :o(

I went into Toys R Us today while I was out and got the same responce about stock coming in on Friday but they do not unload the deliveries untill late Friday so I was told it will be on the shelves first thing saturday. I was told the same thing as I was in Wilkinson's today 1 Go Go item per person.. Not 1 of each thing. I expressed how stupid this was incase you still needed all 4 hamsters for example and the reply I got was that there will be noone starting out collecting from scratch so if you need 2 items then you'll need to take someone with you.

This was Toys R Us Tamworth. I called Coventry who said they are not due any untill end of the month.

I spoke to the manager of Toys R Us Tamworth who said that although they were getting deliveries in on Friday Evening, Saturday evening and Sunday evening, only the Saturday evening one would have hamsters on it. It is 1 go go item per person, not one hamster. They will be on the shelves 1st thing sunday morning.

I thought they were? So that's where it's all gone! Although these online stock checkers are good they do make things harder for the single item consumers as the traders just snap them up, If they wasn't there then maybe we'd have a bit better chance.
