  • Hi all

have been following this thread for weeks now (feels like a lifetime actually!)

I managed to reserve a Car/garage at Long Eaton Argos to pick up by close of business today - just won't have time to get over there today now.

PM me your mobile number if anyone wants it - you will need to have been a MSE member for at least 6 months so please don't contact me if you haven't. I will forward the text that Argos sent me.

Hope this helps someone and also hope it's ok to post this sort of thing on here...

    Happy Hamster Hunting!:D

If you ring customer services they will phon the branch for you and may be able to extend your pickup by a couple of days. I did this week.

I hate being the thread police  but I just want to let newer people know that when Very Kindly offering things like reservation codes etc, it's best just to do it through pm. i.e. say you will send the reservation code through pm rather than asking for their mobile phone no's pm ing. It's just that I have become so addicted to this thread that I don't want it to be removed or closed which will happen if people are asking for others details. The guides can be very strict on this kind of thing and very quick to shut down. You've got to all think of Maximouse, how would she be able to post all her finds, she'd end up buying all the hamsters cos she would be afraid nobody would find them and they would be sat lonely on the shelves;) :D
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

I think its easier not to reserve them at all and just post where they are - if someone is local to the argos they will make the effort to do it themselves.

I know that everyone is at ends trying to get stuff on here but so is Joe bloggs on the street trying to run a family ect and havent yet found the wonders of MSE.

  • Hi again

thanks for the info re posting requesting mobile numbers - sorry should have thought this through a bit more - too early to engage brain!

I actually reserved this one and then found another one at a store closer to me in Nottingham so reserved that too.

Noone has PM'd me so far, but I will be at work and not able to check emails until about 3ish so could be a mad dash for someone after that!
