Those of you who were online earlier will recall that on asda.com, hamsters suddenly came in stock until you tried to actually buy them then a message came up that they were out of stock and we're removed from your basket - despite them still being shown as in stock. Nobody reported actually being able to buy them. Anyway, last week I had e mailed asda to try and find out if they were ever going to put their items in stock on the website (to see if I could give some hope to those on the forum whose local asda's did not have any stock): this is a copy of what i sent and the response...

    Enquiry:
You have had go go hamster items on your website for some time but they are constantly out of stock. Are you actually going to ever list any items (I am sick of checking)? If not, then why don't you take them off the website as there must be hundreds of people like me that are fed up of frequently checking in case they suddenly come back into stock. Thank you.

    Thank you for your message.
    Hello,
    Thank you for contacting me.
I'm sorry to hear the items you have wanted to purchase on our ASDA Direct site have been out of stock for a while.
    Please contact our ASDA Direct Team on: - 0844 824 3000. http://your.asda.com/section-contact-asda
    Thanks again for contacting ASDA.

Well, that's useful...seems a bit of a coincidence that I suddenly get a response after what occurred today...

  • I have just got an email from house of sher saying I am being refunded for the two surfboards I bought.

I'm not too disappointed as I would have preferred the skateboards but it's annoying to think you are getting something when they readily accept my money only for them to refund the next day.
Went to the paper shop - it had blown away.
  • Hello. I don't know if I'm posting correctly cos I'm a newbie but I have a Pipsqeak on the way from Play that I don't need cos I forgot to cancel it when I found them elsewhere!! I know I could sell on Ebay but I hate all the profiteering on the back of Xmas misery!
I wouldn't have got a funhouse and wheel and other bits without this forum so if anyone wants to buy a Pipsqeak get in touch and I'll give you my details. It cost me £9.99 cos postage was free so I would just want that plus the cost of posting on. I'm in the Durham area if anyone is local. I can forward my play email as proof also.

I understand people may not want to do it this way but if I've tried I will feel less guilty if I then try on Ebay lol!

    Thanks Nicknack xx

I think its a shame that people on this forum are feeling guilty about possibly listing spare items on ebay - we've already had this discussion before so I don't want to start it off again :rotfl:All I would say is that you could well sell to someone on here, who then sticks it on ebay anyway. I think one person posted the other day (and was told it wasn't allowed on this forum) but she did state she would only consider members of the forum who had been contributing for a certain period of time.
