lol I might be wrong but after becoming addicted (ahem) on here for last few weeks, I seem to have a phd qualification in hamsters!!! I just recall someone asking same question as you then they tried one in a real pet ball and it didnt work! Grrrrrr. I wish I had never even heard of the blooming things. :p

There was something about the real ones having ridges inside I think. Or was it the other way round and the go go ones had ridges. :o

My sister found some of the cheap (non go go) hamsters on sale that come with either balls or wheels for about a fiver and said the hamster looked around the same size as the go go ones but didn't want to waste a fiver buying one incase they didn't work. Don't know if anyone else has tried those.

May work better than a real hamster ball with ridges inside but I'm not sure the hamster would stay upright without the weight you attach which comes with the adventure ball?

  • I got my Go Go ball delivered last Friday so tried it out with a hammy last week.
The ball is smooth inside - assumably so the hamster wheels don't get stuck and there is also another piece of blue plastic (the weight) which you have to actually attach to the hamster to keep them upright in the ball

Hmn so it sounds like the weight's the important part and that a similar sized smooth ball might work if the hamster had the weight? Now all we need is to work out how to create a pretend weight.:rotfl:

  • :rotfl:lol :rotfl:lol :rotfl:lol:rotfl:lol :rotfl:lol:rotfl:

Now can we just remind ourselves once again who we are doing all this for???
