Lizdav (a reliable source getting info direct from character), has confirmed this morning what stock is due this side of xmas, next week there will be more hammies. Beds are due to arrive 18th dec at supplier so not guaranteed they will be out in time. Wheels, slides etc not expected until new year and this situation has not changed. There are no deliveries before christmas of the add ons, the only possibility of anything trickling through is if stores have stock already floating in their own warehouses.

Close but not quite accurate.

To repeat latest state of play :

Character received stock of EVERYTHING BUT ADDONS AND BEDS/CARRIERS ~10 days ago. That stock is what is appearing in the sales channels now.

The only additional UK consignment now due before Christmas and confidently expected to appear in stores is Hamsters landing in the UK next week.

The chances od Addons (Wheels, Slides and Cars) trickling out now are virtually NIL.

The only other new UK delvery will be the accessories (beds & carriers) expected in the UK on 18th December. You do the math ... if Character only get them in on the 18th and process them in .. and they then need to despatch to outlets for them to process them as in stock, take orders and despatch them to customers, the I doubt that they can be mail ordered for Christmas. One bright light that I did get today is that one of the accessory stockists MAY be Argos (they have never listed these so far) and if so, then a Reserve and Collect could assure collection in advance of Christmas.

I know that people want to hold onto some hope, but if items are not being distributed, then they can't be sold. Therefore it is maybe just a bit too optimistic to expect some of these items to appear anywhere now at RRP and risks missing out on eBay to pay even higher prices later if people are determined to acquire them..

Yes and No. They had stock for other outlets but also pushed out their own to other retailers.

From what I read, there is ~30% more hamsters coming into the UK compared to what has already been distributed. I don't know if that is suffficient to meet all Christmas Hamster demand, but it must go a long way to help.

The eBayers of the hamsters must be getting worried about that ... whereas those with funhouses and playsets seem assured of the profits rolling in.
