    Hi all

Could someone help me! Do the hamsters work on their own on do they need the house? The lady in Toysrus Ipswich today was telling me they have to have the fun house to work. I thought the add ons (car, skateboard etc) needed the house but that the hamsters could run around on the carpet ok. Am I completely wrong?

    Thanks

Can anyone help as I would like the answer to this question too!!

tell argos and they will cancel those,
That does seriously pee me off, it seems this thread is read, numbers snapped up and whoosh ebay they go,
It's one thing people making a quick buck out of poor sods like myself trying to locate theses pesky rats, but to sell a reserve number?
Cretins, u can't be bothered to go and get the rat urself so stop someone else local grabbing that by taking the pee.

why don't they sell their organs and be done with it xxx

Unfortunately Argos cant do anything because they cant tell a genuine reservation from one that is being sold on. Can only hope that Ebay pull their finger out.
  • :eek:Have they still not dispatched what you ordered in Sept - what was it?

I pre ordered around the same time from Play and had my house and hamster delivered but was kicking myself because I didn't pre order the ball from there and have ended up paying twice RRP for it :(

It was a wheel and said disptched within 24 hrs which for Play, use to mean they had stock :(

Hammies will happily run around floor on their own, if you want to keep the segregated you need the house, but no a necessary item - have tried out our hammy on wooden floor and it went all over the place - me and hubby were amused for ages - then it got a bit annoying as kept getting stuck under the sofa:rotfl:

Do you need the house for the accessories?? Just wondering if my hamster will be OK with skateboard but no house?

Just spoken to Argos and really vented, what i suggested, that im emailing to their h/o is they contact ebay and put a toal ban on reservation codes being sold, then ebay would act quicker, with the might of argos than the likes of us little people.

They should do it so u have to take id in to prove its u that ordered it not any old organ seller xxxxx

The hamsters don't NEED the house, but most people prefer to have one. I have tried a hamster out on the laminate floor, and it wanders around, turning itself around when it bumps into something, but they may wander underneath furniture... and might get stuck. Not sure about carpet though, as hair and carpet bits may get trapped in wheels, and it may not run as efficently. HTH
